Margery Louise Allingham (1904 – 1966) was an English novelist from the “Golden Age of Detective Fiction”, best remembered for her hero, the gentleman sleuth Albert Campion and one of four “Queens of Crime”.

Her first book published in 1929 featured Albert Campion in his first role as Detective and who would continue to appear for another 30 years across 18 more novels.
